Frequently asked questions
How do I export all my contacts as a VCF?
On Android: Contacts → Fix & manage → Export to file. On iPhone: Contacts → Lists → hold All Contacts → Export, or use icloud.com/contacts → Export vCard.
Does a VCF file include photos?
Usually, yes — iPhone and Google include contact photos. The .vcf made here includes your photo too.
Can I open a VCF file in Excel?
Not directly in a useful way. Import it into Google Contacts and export a CSV instead.
What's the difference between VCF and vCard?
Nothing — .vcf is the file extension for the vCard format.
Contact files follow vCard 3.0 (RFC 2426); QR codes follow ISO/IEC 18004. Checked 2026-11-07.
