How a vCard QR code works
A vCard QR code stores your contact in the vCard format (the same format as a .vcf file) directly in the pattern. The phone's camera recognises it and offers Add to contacts, with every field filled in. Nothing is looked up online, so it works without signal and never expires.
Keep it easy to scan
Every character you add makes the code denser. A dense code still works on a screen but can fail when printed small. By default the QR code holds the essentials — name, company, title, phones, email and website — and leaves the address, note and social links to the .vcf file. Tick the box to include them if you print the code large.

vCard QR or a link QR?
A vCard QR saves you directly and works offline. A link QR (choose “Opens my card link”) opens a page with your card, buttons and social links — handy when you want people to see more than a contact entry. You can switch at any time.

Do vCard QR codes work on iPhone?
Yes. The built-in Camera app recognises vCard QR codes and shows a banner to add the contact.
Do they work on Android?
On most phones, yes — through the camera app or Google Lens. A few older phones need a QR scanner app.
Does a vCard QR code expire?
No. The contact is stored inside the code itself, so it works forever and doesn't depend on this website.
Can I put my photo in the QR code?
No — a photo is far too large for a QR code. Your photo goes into the .vcf file and the card instead.
Which vCard version is used?
vCard 3.0 (RFC 2426), the version iPhone, Android, Outlook and Gmail import reliably.
