iPhone and iPad
- Tap the .vcf attachment in Mail, Messages or WhatsApp (or open it from Files).
- Tap Create New Contact — or Add All N Contacts for a file with several.
For a big file, it's easier on a computer: open icloud.com/contacts, click + → Import Contact and choose the file; it syncs to your iPhone.
Android
- Open the Contacts app (Google Contacts).
- Tap Fix & manage → Import from file, choose the account, then pick the .vcf.
Or simply tap the .vcf in your downloads or a chat and choose Contacts.
Gmail / Google Contacts
Go to contacts.google.com → Import → choose the .vcf → Import. Multi-contact files work. Imported contacts get a label with the import date, so you can find (or undo) them.
Outlook and Mac
- Classic Outlook for Windows: double-click the .vcf → Save & Close. File → Open & Export → Import/Export → “Import a VCARD file” also works, one contact per file.
- Outlook.com / new Outlook: People → Import contacts expects a CSV; for a multi-contact .vcf, import it into Google Contacts first and export as an Outlook CSV.
- Mac: double-click the file, or Contacts → File → Import.
If something looks wrong
- Only the first contact imported: the app handles one contact per file — use Google Contacts or iCloud.
- Garbled accents: the file wasn't UTF-8. Files from this site always are.
- No photo: some Outlook versions skip vCard photos.
